§ Lord R. CECILFor many months past practically no foodstuffs have been licensed for export to Holland, Norway, Sweden, or Denmark, apart from goods released from the Prize Court. Such small quantities of certain commodities as are exported to those countries at the present time have been licensed chiefly for the use of Diplomatic and Consular officials. Certain raw materials of foodstuffs—for instance, cocoa beans and margarine materials—continue to be exported for the manufacture of the products which are in return brought to the United Kingdom.
I ought to add, with respect to this question and the next, that the limitation of exports owing to shortage of supplies here is not a matter in which the Ministry of Blockade interferes at all.
