HC Deb 11 March 1918 vol 104 c20
66. Mr. ROWLANDS

asked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Food if he will reconsider the conditions under which he proposes to allot the sugar for jam-making in the case of persons who have enough fruit to make jam for the consumption by themselves and families for the whole season; if he will allow them to keep the jam so made and prevent them having to purchase supplies; and if he will consider the advisability of distributing the amount of sugar on the basis of the production of fruit?

Mr. CLYNES

The answer to the first part of the question is in the negative; the last two parts do not, therefore, arise.
