HC Deb 04 March 1918 vol 103 cc1683-4
3. Mr. GEORGE LAMBERT

asked when a tangible recognition of the heroism of merchant seamen who go to sea, though having been torpedoed, will be made?

Mr. WARDLE

I am afraid I cannot say more than that this matter is still under consideration. I regret the delay, but it is really unavoidable.

Mr. LAMBERT

Will the hon. Gentleman say whether the Board of Trade is sympathetic towards this recognition?

Mr. WARDLE

I can go so far as to say that we are going to consider it to-morrow.
