HC Deb 26 June 1918 vol 107 c1047
38. Sir ARTHUR FELL

asked the President of the Board of Agriculture if his attention has been called to the use by an American railway company of a machine for planting trees economically which will plant 8,000 trees a day with three men; and if he will make inquiry into the working of this machine and to its suitability for the purpose of afforestation after the War?

Sir R. WINFREY

My attention has not been called to this machine, and I shall be glad if my hon. Friend will send me any particulars he has about it, so that I can consider whether it is likely to be suitable for our purpose.
