HC Deb 25 June 1918 vol 107 c865
8. Colonel McCALMONT

asked the Under-Secretary of State for War whether the records and paymaster's offices of the four regiments composing No. 11 District were moved from Belfast to Dublin in recent years; whether the premises which they occupy are now required for other purposes; and whether, in view of the fact that three of the regiments are recruited from and have their depots in Ulster, these offices can be re-established in Belfast?

Mr. MACPHERSON

The offices mentioned were moved from Belfast to Dublin in 1913. It is under consideration to move the offices of the regimental paymaster to other buildings in Dublin, but there is no intention at present of removing any of the offices to Belfast.

Colonel McCALMONT

Would it not be more convenient that they should be at Belfast?

Mr. MACPHERSON

I am told not.
