§ The PARLIAMENTARY SECRETARY to the MINISTRY of LABOUR (Mr. Bridgeman)Two joint standing industrial councils have now been formed in the building and pottery industries respectively. The completion of the negotiations in connection with the formation of several other councils may be looked for in the near future. As regards the steps which are being taken to encourage the formation of such councils, I would refer the hon. Member to the reply given to a question on this subject asked by the hon. Member for Crewe on the 23rd April, of which I am sending him a copy.
