WILSONasked the President of the Board of Trade whether he is aware of the complaint made that the men employed by the Timber Supplies Department in felling timber at the Crosswoods estate, Cardiganshire, were not being paid rates of wages equal to those paid by private timber-felling firms; that the Department promised to make further inquiries into the matter; that the men concerned have now been dismissed; whether he can explain the reason for this action; and whether he will consider the reinstatement of these men and the payment to them of the proper wages?
