HC Deb 11 July 1918 vol 108 c500
79. Mr. TICKLER

asked the President of the Board of Agriculture if he is aware that agricultural committees are ordering some of the best feeding lands to be ploughed up, although no barns or other buildings are available in the district, and the owner has offered to plough up other lands in another part of the country of an equal acreage and where buildings are available; and if he will advise a more reasonable attitude to be adopted by these committees?

Sir R. WINFREY

I am not aware of any such cases, and if my hon. Friend will be good enough to supply me with particulars of any which he has in mind, I will have them looked into at once.
