HALLasked the President of the Local Government Board if he will consider the advisability of adding to each of the military tribunals one or two discharged soldiers, preferably men discharged on account of sickness or wounds, as a safeguard against the granting of exemptions on other than grounds of national interest, and in order to give more adequate representation to the views of those who have undergone the hardships and dangers of the fighting line?
§ The PRESIDENT of the LOCAL GOVERNMENT BOARD (Mr. Hayes Fisher)I can assure my hon. and gallant Friend that tribunals in general fully appreciate the requirements of His Majesty's forces for men; but proposals to add discharged members of the forces to tribunals, where additional members are needed, will receive my sympathetic consideration.
