Mr. FISHERThe appointment was in the first instance made temporary with a view to the question of its permanency being considered at the end of twelve months' experience. As a result of that experience it was found desirable to make it permanent. The lady in question is engaged upon work with which women are specially concerned and her previous experience has peculiarly fitted her for the post.
