YEOasked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Food whether a visit of inspection has been made by an official from the Food Ministry to depots belonging to the United Dairies, Limited, in the company of the chairman of the combine; whether it is the intention of the Food Ministry to make similar inspections of premises owned by dairyman who are outside the milk trust; and, if not, will he say why this course is not to be adopted?
§ Mr. CLYNESThe answer to the first two parts of the question is in the affirmative. The officials of the Ministry of Food are taking every opportunity to make themselves familiar with the conditions and organisation of wholesale milk depots throughout the country.
