§ Lord E. TALBOT (Joint Parliamentary Secretary to the Treasury) moved"That Mr. Tyson Wilson be discharged from the Select Committee on Luxury Duty.
§ Mr. PRINGLEIn view of the statements which have appeared regarding the proceedings of this Committee, the House is entitled to a statement as to the reason why it is necessary that a Motion should be put down that the hon. Member for Westhoughton be discharged from the Committee. It may be said there are other members on the Committee who also desire to be discharged but obstacles have been placed in their way, and it is due to the House that the Noble Lord should tell us the reason why in this particular case the request was granted.
