§ 19. Sir JOHN SPEARasked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Food if he is aware that irritation is felt at the recently issued Lamb Slaughter Order; that it will prevent a quantity of animal food coming into the market in April and May, when such food is scarce; is he aware that this will prevent the dams which are too old for further breeding from being fattened for the market, resulting in the consumption of grass required for the use of the store draft ewes usually purchased for next year's lamb crop; and will he withdraw the Order?
Mr. PARKERI would refer the hon. Member to the answer given last Wednesday, to which I have at present nothing to add.
