I hope that the Second Reading of the Military Service Bill will be concluded to-day, and, if so, we shall take the Committee stage on Monday.
On Tuesday, we shall take the next stage of the National Registration Bill.
On Wednesday, the Report stage of the Non-Ferrous Metal Industry Bill; and
On Thursday, the Report stage of the Military Service Bill.
§ Mr. PRINGLECan the right hon. Gentleman say when the day is to be given for the discussion of the Report on National Expenditure?
§ Mr. BONAR LAWIt is obvious that we cannot have it next week, but I shall arrange it as soon as possible.
Mr. T. WILSONCannot the right hon. Gentleman arrange a day next week for that business and leave the National Registration (Amendment) Bill over till the following week, until after the Labour party has had a conference?
§ Mr. BONAR LAWThe House will understand that we cannot do that. The objects of these Bills are only justified by their urgency.
§ Mr. SHERWELLCan the right hon. Gentleman state approximately on what date it is proposed to take the Second Reading of the Imports and Exports (Temporary Control) Bill?
§ Mr. BONAR LAWI do not think it will be possible to take it this Session.
