HC Deb 27 February 1918 vol 103 c1368
21. Major DAVIES

asked whether special permission was accorded to Colonel Charles A' Court Repington to wear military uniform abroad; and, if so, whether this privilege is to be accorded to him in future?

Mr. MACPHERSON

I understand that there is no trace of any application from Colonel A' Court Repington for permission to wear uniform abroad nor of any such permission having been granted. Whether permission would be granted in future would depend on the circumstances in which Colonel Repington would proceed abroad.

Colonel BURN

Is it not the case that an officer who retires on a pension has, when he retires, the right to wear the uniform that he is wearing at the time of his retirement?

Mr. MACPHERSON

Only on certain definite occasions.
