HC Deb 26 February 1918 vol 103 c1231
10. Colonel Sir FREDERICK HALL

asked the Under-Secretary of State for War if, in connection with the inquiry into the circumstances of the battle of Cambrai, it appeared that the failure to press home the initial success was due to the commanders in the field not having sufficient reserves of men to consolidate and hold the ground won; if any request was made to the home authorities for additional men; and if such requests were made were they complied with?

Mr. MACPHERSON

I am unable to add anything to the statements which have already been made as to the results of the inquiry held in connection with the operations at Cambrai.
