HC Deb 21 February 1918 vol 103 c915
50. Mr. BILLING

asked the Prime Minister whether, within the past twelve months, the British Government has received, either through diplomatic or other channels, offers of information in connection with the ramifications of enemy intrigue in Great Britain; whether these offers were accepted; and, if so, why no action has been taken?

Mr. BONAR LAW

The answer is in the negative.

Mr. BILLING

Am I to understand that at no period during the War information has been offered by the American Secret Service in reference to German espionage in this country and been refused?

Mr. BONAR LAW

I do not believe for a moment that any information offered by any Department in America has been refused.

Mr. BILLING

Has it been acted upon?
