HC Deb 20 February 1918 vol 103 c720
22. Mr. HINDS

asked whether any decision has been arrived at to dispense with the services of civilian veterinary surgeons; and, if so, what is the reason for it?

Mr. MACPHERSON

There has been no decision to dispense with the services of civilian veterinary surgeons, the policy being to employ these gentlemen wherever by this means an officer of the Army Veterinary Corps can be set free for duty oversea.
