HC Deb 14 February 1918 vol 103 c246
13. Mr. BYRNE

asked the Chief Secretary for Ireland if his attention has been drawn to the treatment of convent school teachers and assistant school mistresses in Ireland; if he is aware that the recent award of 4s. war bonus has not been paid to these teachers; if messenger girls in Government offices in England are better paid than those teachers; and whether he proposes to take any action in the matter?

Mr. DUKE

The answer to the first and second inquiries in the question is in the affirmative. I have no information as to the third. No further action as to the teachers in question is open to me.
