HC Deb 14 February 1918 vol 103 c271
64. Mr. BYRNE

asked the Minister of Reconstruction whether the Government propose to make any distinction between indentured apprentices and unindentured apprentices in skilled trades; and if he will see that in making grants, awards, or bonuses all the Government Departments will give full and equal recognition to unindentured apprentices?

Dr. ADDISON

The whole question of apprenticeship is now under consideration by the Ministry of Reconstruction and the Ministry of Labour, and I am unable to make any statement at present.
