HC Deb 07 August 1918 vol 109 c1363
Mr. HERBERT SAMUEL

May I ask the Leader of the House what Orders it is proposed to take to-day; if he can state when it is proposed the House should reassemble after the Recess; and what business will be taken in the first week after reassembling?

Mr. BONAR LAW

In regard to to-day, in addition to the Third Reading of the Consolidated Fund (No. 3) Bill, we propose to take only the Second Order on the Paper [Burghs Gas Supply (Scotland) Amendment Bill—Committee]. It is intended to move to-morrow that the House shall adjourn till Tuesday, 15th of October. The business for that week I shall announce to-morrow.

Mr. PRINGLE

Is it intended that we shall ever meet again? May I press for an answer—will the right hon. Gentleman give an undertaking that we shall ever meet again?

Mr. BONAR LAW

I cannot give an undertaking that we shall all meet again.

Ordered, That Government Business, be not interrupted this night under the Standing Order (Sittings of the House), and may be entered upon at any hour although opposed.—[Mr. Sonar Law.]

Resolved, "That this House do meet To-morrow, at Twelve of the clock."—[Mr. Bonar Law.]
