70. Sir F. HALLasked the Minister of Munitions if he is in a position to state whether full inquiry has been made into the action of an employé at a London aeroplane works who was dismissed by his employers for ceasing work during a busy period of the day for the purpose of holding a meeting, in consequence of which the Government has taken over the factory in question; and what was the result of the inquiry?
§ Mr. KELLAWAYThe result of the inquiry was given in an official announcement to the Press on 22nd July. I am sending a copy of the announcement to my hon. and gallant Friend.
Sir F. HALLIs the hon. Gentleman aware that I put this question down last week, and he asked me to repeat it today; and is it not rather extraordinary that a reply should be forthcoming that an intimation has previously been given to the Press?
