HC Deb 07 August 1918 vol 109 c1352
48. Mr. MOUNT

asked the Prime Minister whether he is aware that several meetings have been held lately in various parts of the country urging upon the Government the importance of the immediate preparation for afforestation after the War and the advisability of an early decision on the Report of the Forestry Sub-committee of the Reconstruction Committee; and whether he can state what steps His Majesty's Government propose to take to encourage or secure the replanting of the large area of woodland which has been cut down during the last few years?

Mr. BONAR LAW

The answer to the first part of the question is in the affirmative. This question is being reviewed by a small Cabinet Committee, and a decision will be taken immediately.
