HC Deb 07 August 1918 vol 109 cc1329-30
9. Mr. PRINGLE

asked the First Lord of the Admiralty whether he can, without giving information to the enemy, make any statement regarding the increased activities of enemy submarines, not only round our coasts but in the Mediterranean?

Dr. MACNAMARA

The Admiralty detects no marked increase in activity of submarines. There is no change in the situation since the last Return was issued to cause increased anxiety.
