Ordered, That a Select Committee be appointed for the purpose of considering what steps, if any, it is desirable to take to develop and improve the internal facilities for Transport within the United Kingdom; to secure effective supervision and co-ordination; and to ensure that such developments and improvements shall be adequate and suitable to meet the national requirements; and of making recommendations.

The Committee was accordingly nominated of Mr. Acland Allen, Sir Arthur Shirley Bonn, Mr. Davison Dalziel, Mr. Field, Mr. Gilbert, Colonel Gretton, Colonel Sir Frederick Hall, Mr. Haslam, Mr. Hudson, Colonel Jackson, Mr. Keating, Mr. Robert Mason, Mr. Somervell, Colonel Wedgwood, and Mr. Wilson-Fox.

Ordered, That the Committee have power to send for persons, papers, and records.

Ordered, That the Committee have power to appoint from outside its own body such additional persons as it may think fit to serve on any Sub-committee which it may decide to establish.

Ordered, That the Committee have power to report its observations from time to time.
