asked the President of the Board of Trade (1) whether the products manufactured by the concern at Bergen in which Holzapfels, Limited, hold shares are in any way available for the use of enemy warships or other vessels owned by or trading with the enemy;

(2) Whether Supplies are sent to the Holzapfel concern at Bergen from any Holzapfel concern other than the concern in England; and, if so, whether an effective undertaking is given in each case that such supplies will not be used for the direct benefit of our enemies?

asked what means Holzapfels, Limited, have of ascertaining the facts and enforcing the undertaking given to them by the concern at Bergen with which they are connected to the effect that supplies sent from England would not be diverted to enemy use?

Mr. WARDLE

In the event of any breach of the undertaking given by the company at Bergen to Holzapfels, Limited, coming to that company's notice any further supplies would be withheld.
