Friend was informed in reply to his question on the 17th July, the Board of Trade are in communication with the various Departments concerned. The replies, however, are not complete, and I am therefore not yet in a position to let him know the result. I fear that in any case it will be difficult to furnish any information of value in a statistical form, owing to the varied nature of the cases dealt with.
