HC Deb 29 April 1918 vol 105 cc1266-7
5. Mr. GILBERT

asked the President of the Board of Trade whether he can now make any statement as to the price of rail way season tickets being increased; if they will be restricted in the future only to bonâ fide residents in any particular area; and can he state, if the Railway Executive Committee report in favour of such an increase or restriction, if he will allow such decisions to be discussed in this House before they are made effective?

Sir A. STANLEY

I hope to be in a position to make a statement on the whole question of railway restrictions shortly, and I shall be glad if the hon. Gentleman will await that statement. In the meantime, I am afraid I cannot add to the replies regarding season-ticket holders given to the hon. Gentleman and to the hon. Member for Merthyr on the 15th and 24th April, respectively.
