Private Bills [Lords],—Mr. SPEAKER laid upon the Table Report from one of the Examiners of Petitions for Private Bills, That, in the case of the following Bill, introduced pursuant to the provisions of the Private Legislation Procedure (Scotland) Act, 1899, and which the Chairman of Ways and Means had directed to originate in the House of Lords, they have certified that the Standing Orders have been complied with, namely:

British Aluminium Company (Lochaber Water Power) Bill [Lords] (Substituted Bill.)

Private Bill Petitions [Lords] (Standing Orders not complied with),—Mr. SPEAKER laid upon the Table Report from one of the Examiners of Petitions for Private Bills, That, in the case of the Petition for the following Bills, originating in the Lords, the Standing Orders have not been complied with, namely:

Private Legislation Procedure (Scotland) Act, 1899,—The CHAIRMAN OF WAYS AND MEANS reported, That, after conferring with the Chairman of Committees of the House of Lords, for the purpose of determining in which House of Parliament the British Aluminium Company (Lochaber Water Power) Bill should be first considered, had determined that the aforesaid Bill should originate in the House of Lords.
