HC Deb 09 April 1918 vol 104 c1310
9. Mr. WILLIAM WATSON

asked the Under-Secretary of State for War whether all warrant officers and non-commissioned officers over forty-two years of age are now being discharged irrespective of whether they are desirous of continuing to serve; and, if so, whether adequate arrangements are made whereby such men on discharge forthwith secure suitable and remunerative employment?

Mr. MACPHERSON

My hon. and learned Friend has consulted me on this point. I find that the answer to the first part of the question is in the negative; the second part does not, therefore, arise. Perhaps my hon. and learned Friend will now let me have the particulars of the case he has, and I will have investigation made.
