HC Deb 09 April 1918 vol 104 c1306
2. Mr. KING

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether the policy of the Allies still remains that stated by the British Ambassador at Petrograd on 9th December, 1917, when he stated that as soon as a Government is recognised by the Russian people as a whole the Allies would examine with that Government the aims of the War, or whether recent events have led to a with drawal from the position taken up three months ago?

Lord R. CECIL

The conclusion of a separate peace between the Government at Petrograd and the Central Powers has obviously altered the whole position of affairs.

4. Mr. KING

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether he will lay upon the Table Papers relating to the proposals for Japanese intervention in Russia?

Lord R. CECIL

No, Sir.
