HC Deb 22 November 1917 vol 99 c1354
56. Mr. GEORGE FABER

asked the Prime Minister whether, in view of the effects of Boloism in Russia and Italy, and of the steps now being taken in France and America to deal with it, he can assure this House that all possible steps are being taken by the Government in this country in the same direction?

Mr. BONAR LAW

The answer is in the affirmative.

Mr. FABER

Will the right hon. Gentleman say whether success has attended the efforts of the Government in this direction?

Mr. BONAR LAW

I am sure my hon. Friend will quite understand that it would be impossible, without making reservations, to answer that question.

Mr. PRINGLE

Has not this search for Boloism resulted in the seizure of some copies of Mill's " Essay on Liberty "
