HC Deb 19 November 1917 vol 99 c854
50. Commander WEDGWOOD

asked the Prime Minister whether, with a view to facilitate the advance in Palestine and to economise transport, he will see that no difficulties are put by the Foreign Office or the Egyptian Government in the way of supplying rails and rolling stock from the existing railways in Egypt, even if existing railways have to be pulled up?

The UNDER-SECRETARY of STATE for WAR (Mr. Macpherson)

Arrangements have been made to ensure that an adequate supply of permanent way material will be ready.

Commander WEDGWOOD
