§ Mr. WARDLEI am glad to be able to announce that His Majesty has been pleased to sanction the amendment of the conditions governing the award of the silver war badge to officers and men of the Mercantile Marine, so as to provide for its grant to officers and seamen who have suffered from illness or shock or strain, due to war conditions, or some disease resulting from employment on a ship on Government service in an unhealthy climate.
