§ Mr. WARDLEThe Prime Minister has asked me to reply to this question. I have no information that the Prince of Pless holds mortgages in this country on the estate of the late Colonel Cornwallis West, but inquiry has been made in regard to certain property which was alleged to belong to Prince or Princess Pless, and the information furnished by Colonel Cornwallis West to the Public Trustee was that the property in question was his own, and did not belong to the Prince or Princess.
