Major HAYWARDasked the Under-Secretary of State for War whether he is aware that there are many men in Class W employed in the country who have received no papers or other evidence they can produce to prove their status, and, as a consequence, are liable to interference by the police and recruiting authorities; and whether he will order the distribution of the necessary documents to be expedited?
§ Mr. MACPHERSONEach man on transfer to Class W of the Reserve is given a certificate of transfer to the Reserve. There is no information in the War Office that men have been transferred without this certificate, and I should be glad to know of any cases of which my hon. and gallant Friend has information.
