§ 64. Commander WEDGWOODasked. the Home, Secretary whether a deputation in favour of the Criminal Law Amendment Bill was received by him on 6th July, 1917; and, if so, why he has not yet been able to receive a deputation of women's societies, representing many thousands of organised women, who have signified their opposition at public meetings arranged by them in and around London?
§ Sir G. CAVEThe answer to the first part of the question is in the affirmative. As to the latter part, I promised to receive a deputation from certain associations who are opposed to the Bill before it is proceeded with, and I shall of course do so. I hope to arrange a date shortly.
