HC Deb 30 March 1917 vol 92 c757
19. Mr. W. THORNE

asked why many tons of swedes are allowed to rot at the Midland and Great Northern station which are owned by Messrs. Stow and Jackson?

Captain BATHURST

I presume that the firm intended to be referred to is Messrs. Stone Brothers and Jackson. I am informed that one truck of swedes belonging to this firm is at the Midland Goods Station, Somerstown, and is now being unloaded. So far as I am aware, the firm have no swedes at King's Cross, Great Northern Station. It does not appear, therefore, that the suggestion made in the hon. Member's question represents the facts.
