HC Deb 30 March 1917 vol 92 c760
24. Mr. FIELD

asked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Food if his attention has been drawn by the London Central Meat and Poultry Markets Association to certain conditions seriously affecting the supply and consumption of meat; if anything has been done following their communication of 20th February last; and, if not, will he explain why this has not been done?

Captain BATHURST

The answer to the first part of the question is in the affirmative. The points raised are having consideration. I may, however, state that the slaughter of immature animals, which was the principal subject of the letter, is under the control of the Board of Agriculture.
