Sir HERBERT ROBERTSasked the Under-Secretary of State for War whether men who enlisted in the Motor Transport, Army Service Corps, and other transport services, in 191–4 upon certain guaranteed conditions have been recently placed in the same position, as regards pay, as those who joined the Service after the 10th November, 1015; and whether, in view of the fact that these men joined the Motor Transport Corps on the distinct understanding that the same rate of pay would be continued to them, he can give an assurance that this condition will be fulfilled?
