§ 88. Mr. CROOKSasked the Minister of Munitions whether the examiners in the carriage inspection department, Royal Arsenal, Woolwhich, are not being employed full time; can he state the reason for this; and whether the examiners will be allowed to transfer to some other department where their services can be more fully utilised?
§ Sir W. EVANSAt the present time all examiners in the carriage inspection department are working full normal hours. Owing to a temporary decrease in the amount of work, Sunday work has been discontinued, and, to a certain extent, overtime. This staff is specially skilled in carriage inspection, and, in view of anticipated increase in the work, it is not desirable that it should be dispersed.
