asked the First Lord of the Admiralty whether any of the recommendations made by the Thursby Committee with regard to the accountant branch in the Navy have been carried into effect; and, if no action has been taken, will he explain the reason for the delay?

Dr. MACNAMARA

Several of the recommendations made by the Thursby Committee have been carried into effect, and the remainder will be considered on the termination of hostilities.
