asked the Under-Secretary of State for War whether the promotion of re-employed retired officers will be considered by the Committee of which the right hon. Member for Dundee is Chairman?

Mr. MACPHERSON

The promotion of re-employed officers who are in the Reserve of Officers is bring considered by the Committee.

Colonel M'CALMONT

But what about the retired officers who are not on the Reserve of Officers, but who volunteered their services though not called upon?

Mr. MACPHERSON

I am hopeful that we shall be able to make use of their services.
