HC Deb 20 March 1917 vol 91 c1716
14. Mr. MacCALLUM SCOTT

asked the Under-Secretary of State for War, with regard to Captain Arthur L. Tooze, who was gazetted out of the Army and whose commanding officer has recommended him for employment as a lieutenant-instructor of troops, whether he will take steps to secure that the recruiting officer at Paddington does not call him up for service as a private in the meantime until the case has been further considered?

Mr. MACPHERSON

This ex-officer will not be called up pending further consideration of his case. Perhaps my hon. Friend will put down his question again.
