§ For Sub-section (5) of Section 1 of the principal Act, which relates to the administrative expenses of the Statutory Committee, the following Sub-section shall be substituted:
§ "(5) All other expenses of the committee (including such travelling expenses to members of the committee and its sub-committees as the committee may determine) shall be paid out of the funds at the disposal of the committee."
§ Amendment made: After the word expenses"["travelling expenses to members"], insert the words "and other allowances."—[Mr. Barnes.]
§ Mr. BARNESI beg to move, after the word "determine"["committee may determine"], to insert the words "in accordance with the scale approved by the Treasury."
This Amendment has reference to the travelling expenses of the Statutory Committee, and the provision in the Act of 1916 has reference to travelling expenses and other allowances for members of a 106 sub-commttee of the Statutory Committee, and the effect of this Amendment is that they are to be determined "in accordance with the scale approved by the Treasury."
