HC Deb 15 March 1917 vol 91 cc1317-8
Mr. ASQUITH

Will my right hon. Friend tell us what is the business for next week?

The CHANCELLOR of the EXCHEQUER (Mr. Bonar Law)

It is proposed to take—

On Monday—Supply, the outstanding stages of the Estimates required before 31st March, and, if possible, some other Bills.

On Tuesday, we shall afford an opportunity for a statement on the Dardanelles Report.

On Wednesday—Supply, outstanding stages of Estimates, the War Pensions Bill, and, if possible, some other Bills.

On Thursday, the Consolidated Fund (No. 2) Bill.

Mr. DILLON

What has become of the Irish Estimates?

Mr. G. LAMBERT

Will the Dardanelles discussion be the first Order?

Mr. BONARLAW

If the hon. Member (Mr. Dillon) refers to my answer, it was that I hoped to be able to arrange it next week. I have been in communication with the hon. Member behind him, and explained the reason it is not possible to have it next week.

Mr. HOGGE

Which of the two days, Monday or Tuesday, will the Report stage of the Pensions (Supplementary Estimate) be put down?

Mr. BONAR LAW

We will take it as soon as we can—to-day, to-morrow, or Monday.

Mr. HOGGE

You will not get it to-day.

Sir H. DALZIEL

Is the right hon. Gentleman going to the end of the programme to-day?

Mr. BONAR LAW

We shall go as far as we can.

Mr. HOGGE

Is the right hon. Gentleman aware that the Patronage Secretary gave us a definite promise that unless the Report stage of the Pensions Estimate were on the Whip, it would not be taken to-day? Will he say it will not be taken to-day?

Mr. BONAR LAW

My Noble Friend thinks it was on the Paper.

Mr. HOGGE

I did not get it.
