HC Deb 14 March 1917 vol 91 c1071

asked the Under-Secretary for War whether he has yet completed his inquiry as to the reason for the order issued in the Eastern Command for moving guards belonging to the Royal Defence Corps; and whether he is now in a position to have the order rescinded, in view of the fact that it is purely vexatious, and is calculated to cause loss and inconvenience to the men affected without advantage to the public interest?

No, Sir. The replies to my inquiries have not yet been received. I will not fail to inform my hon. Friend as soon as I am in a position to do so.
