HC Deb 14 March 1917 vol 91 c1097
55. Mr. PATRICK WHITE

asked the Prime Minister whether his Cabinet is willing to grant to Ireland Home Rule with full fiscal autonomy and investing an Irish Parliament with plenary powers to levy its own taxes and collect them independent of outside interference, and to develop the foreign trade of that country; and whether his Cabinet is willing to accept an annual subsidy from Ireland and renounce the right of this Parliament to tax Ireland?

Mr. BONAR LAW

I can add nothing to what was said by the Prime Minister in this House on Wednesday last.

Mr. WHITE

Can the right hon. Gentleman give us any information on this important matter?
