HC Deb 07 March 1917 vol 91 c395
93. Mr. JOYNSON-HICKS

asked the Secretary to the Local Government Board whether dependants of soldiers and sailors who are maintained in Poor Law institutions have at present to be so maintained wholly at the expense of the local rates; and whether he will consider the possibility, as such necessity is the result of the War, of making arrangements to reconsider the position?

Mr. FORSTER

I would refer my hon. Friend to the answer which I gave on the 28th February to my hon. Friend the Member for the Bridgeton Division of Glasgow.
