HC Deb 07 March 1917 vol 91 cc380-1
43. Mr. R. McNEILL

asked the Under-Secretary of State for War whether he is aware that, with a few exceptions in the Guards and in the Royal Artillery, there has been practically no promotion of Army Reserve officers, amongst whom in consequence dissatisfaction prevails; and whether the promotion of reserve officers will be included in the matters to be inquired into by the Committee recently appointed, under the chairmanship of the right hon. Member for Dundee?

Mr. MACPHERSON

This matter is being considered by the Committee, to which I referred in the Debate on the Army Estimates last Thursday.
